Sophie Trobos

ist eine österreichische Violinistin sowie Mitbegründerin und künstlerische Leiterin des Streichorchesters inn.wien ensemble. Sie studierte an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien bei Christian Altenburger. Wichtige musikalische Wegbegleiter sind Marianne Piketty und Annedore Oberborbeck, sowie die Instrumental- und Gesangspädagogin Danja Lukan, bei der sie aktuell eine umfassende musikalische Ausbildung erhält. Weitere Impulse bekam sie von Benjamin Schmid, Ulf Wallin, Tanja Becker-Bender, Dora Schwarzberg u.a.
Sophie tritt regelmäßig, sowohl solistisch als auch kammermusikalisch in Österreich, Deutschland, und der Schweiz auf, ist Mitglied verschiedener (Kammer-) Orchester und musiziert mit namhaften Künstler:innen wie u.a. Christian Altenburger, Reinhard Latzko, Julia Lacherstorfer und Sào Soulez Larivière. Ihre Konzerttätigkeit führen die Geigerin in den Musikverein Wien, die Alte Oper Frankfurt, das Brucknerhaus Linz, u.v.m. Mit dem 2023 von ihr gegründeten „no string quartet“ kehrt sie 2026 für mehrere Auftritte in das Wiener Konzerthaus zurück. Ihr erstes Album „LOST INSIDE“ veröffentlichte sie im September 2024 gemeinsam mit dem inn.wien ensemble und dem Jazztrio Drehwerk.
Neben ihrer künstlerischen Tätigkeit ist sie auch im Bereich Kulturmanagement und Konzertdesign tätig, unter anderem für das Festival LOISIARTE und die von ihr gegründete „kufstein masterclass“. Erfahrungen sammelte sie beim Grafenegg Festival, TONALI Hamburg und mit dem Oorkaan Ensemble (staged concerts). Sophie war Finalistin im HUGO Wettbewerb für neue Konzertformate und ist Teil der „creative project development residency“ des renommierten Verbier Festivals (2025/26). Seit 2025 ist sie Leiterin eines Workshops für Konzertformatentwicklung im Rahmen des Mozartfest Würzburg. Sie erhielt außerdem ein künstlerisches Stipendium ihres Heimatbundeslandes Tirol zur Unterstützung ihrer Karriere als freischaffende Musikerin, sowie das Startstipendium für Musik des Bundesministeriums Österreich.

Sophie Trobos

is an Austrian violinist and the founder and director of the inn.wien ensemble, as well as part of the "no string quartet". She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Christian Altenburger and completed an Erasmus exchange at the CNSMD Lyon with Marianne Piketty. Sophie has served as concertmaster with orchestras including the Austrian Jeunesse Orchestra and the Webern Symphony Orchestra. She regularly performs in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy, and has collaborated in chamber music with artists such as Reinhard Latzko, Christian Altenburger, and Jasminka Stancul. Alongside her performance career, she is involved in artistic management and production, including roles with the Mozartfest Würzburg, the LOISIARTE Festival and the Kufstein Masterclass, which she founded. Sophie is a creative project development resident of this years Verbier Festival. (2025) She is receiving an artistic scholarship by her home country Tirol, to support her career as a musician and entrepreneur, as well as the "Startstipendium" from the government of Austria. In the upcoming season (25/26), she will make her debuts at Alte Oper Frankfurt and Brucknerhaus Linz as well as coming back to the Wiener Konzerthaus for several performances with the "no string quartet" and other artists, like Anna Mabo, Sigur Ros, a.o. Sophie released her first album "LOST INSIDE" with her inn.wien ensemble and the Jazztrio Drehwerk in September 2024. She is currently mentored by instrumental and vocal coach Danja Lukan.
